VX no lean burn in 1st gear

I was checking my dmm while driving and I live on a dirt road that I drive slow on and I can't get into lean burn in 1st no matter what rpm. I can get lean burn in 2nd even really low in the rpm range, close to idling. I don't think this is a problem I just wanted to share the wealth with you guys and for the ones out there with no lean burn monitors installed..

I do know that the ECU can determine what gear the car is in using a formula that involves RPM, MAP, and VSS signal. Perhaps Honda's reasoning for not allowing lean burn in first gear is a safety protocol in case you need fast acceleration in first gear. The transfer from lean burn can sometimes take a half second.

That or they know you'll never be cruising in first.
