engine build planning

I have a toyota 2JZGE (3l 24v I6 found in RWD toyota/lexus cars 92-04 or therabouts) waiting to go into my car (waiting on paychecks to eat specifically). I've got some plans in mind but nothing firmed up except that it'll eventually go in. here's the list:

-Headers and 2.5" exhaust
-Megasquirt standalone ECU with all the goodies
-up compression by shaving head/block from 10:1 to 11 or 12:1.
-somender singh grooves (help deal with high compression too)
-beef up ignition system
-electric fan conversion

I'm just running this by everyone to see how much I missed and get opinions on what I've got. Keep in mind I'm intending this as a fun to drive performance oriented car that happens to get really good mileage for its size and displacement. I don't think it's unreasonable to see 30+ highway and mid-20s in town. So you know what else I have in mind here's the plan for the rest of the car:
-belly pan
-partial grill block (we'll see...the engine'll be running pretty warm)
-electric fan conversion
-5-speed transmission
-3.7 (limited slip) differential (this is about as low as is available)
-solar panel electric assist
-second battery with special circuit so it doesn't get drained

Probly a few things I didn't think of but that's the general idea.

I think you are putting together some good features. Another thing you might consider is a little retard on the intake camshaft. I am assuming it has two cams. Just a little move toward Atkinson cycle. This might be useful if you can actually get up toward 12:1 on the compression. You will lose low end torque but can make it up with horsepower at higher RPM. This is just an idea to kick around.

it does have two cams and that's an interesting idea. Might work since I'm no stranger to downshifting for acceleration (try an infiniti G20 without exhaust...absolute jack under 3k, very little under 4.5k. 7.5k redline and oh does it LOVE redline)
