Pulse Plugs??
I have a subscription to Popular Science( well actually my mom does but I steal it). Well anyways I keep seeing these ads for Pulse Plugs. Supposedly 20,000X more powerfull.
www.pulstarplug.com Does anyone have experience with them or know more than the website? the catch $25. Where i could get a whole engine (V-6) for that. |
I've never heard of these, but looking at the site, it sounds like a capacitor was incorporated into the design. Capacitors do store power but release it as soon as the main flow of electricity falls. Since plugs only get a brief spark and not a constant flow of electricity the capacitor will get it's energy from the brief spark and then release it immediately. I would think this would give a weaker, yet longer spark. This might even cause spark knock.
Popular Science is a respectable magazine, but an ad is an ad; as with any media. |

yep, I've got em. Going from new plugs to them is like putting brand new plugs in after your plugs are old and worn.
I'm not sure of the exact method but I'm pretty sure they give a briefer hotter spark using an air gap perhaps |
