Is the TechEdge V1.5 a Good Device for VX Monitoring?

Was wondering if the TechEdge V1.5 wideband L1H1 unit that comes with everything in the attached picture would be something that will work in monitoring my 92 Civic VX FE performance? If so, how difficult at they to install? Thanks.

I have a TechEdge (ver. 1.2 IIRC) that I built to monitor my LAF. Unfortunately, my power supply that I use for testing decided it wanted to spike on me while I was testing my freshly built unit. It fried some components on my TechEdge :( But someday I will rebuild it and use it. Until then I'm gearing up to get the LED indicators ready for a lean burn monitor.

So does that mean I can use this one? It looks like it is already set up to monitor the LAF sensor but it gives A/F ratio readings instead of FE. But I suppose you can figure out what A/F ratio readings are lean burn, right? Thanks again, TomO for your help.

Yes, you can tell if you're running lean or rich by watching the A/F. Was it a prebuilt unit you got? Depending on features, I know my older one would have a lean/rich bar meter on the right side of the display as well to watch.

Well, I've not gotten it yet. I was considering getting it if would work in monitoring my VX's FE and I can get all that is shown in the pics for about $85.

Well, in order to read the LAF in the VX, you really only need the little black display box. The Grey box is the heater control circuit for the LAF. But if you can get all of that for $85 it's still a great deal.
