Average MPG higher than Best MPG?

I came across this and found it odd—impossible, even: [ https://www.fuelly.com/driver/trikzy/rabbit ].

Any ideas?

Entirely possible, best MPG is for full tanks only, average MPG includes partial tanks too.

Note that there have only been two full tanks, and 3 partial tanks.

Yep, what MMUK said. Overall average is calculated by using total distance driven and total fuel volume filled. So if you have many partial tanks it's possible to have an overall average that's greater than any single calculated MPG/L100km for an individual fuel-up.

This doesn't happen much once a vehicle has a dozen or so full fuel-ups.

Ah. I was under the impression that partial fill-ups were simply omitted. Thanks. =)
