1.3 liter eg honda civic?

i saw it on wikipedia that in Europe the eg DX hatch has a 1.3 liter 75 hp motor compared to a 1.5 in the states. is there a way to get that to the states?

i think it gets better fe since its smaller displacement, and i rarely ever use my 100 full horses my dx has to offer :)

I have only heard of one person in the US with one of these, and I forget who they were, I almost suspect that retrofitting an older 1.3L Honda engine might be a better idea if you want to be able to use available parts, as you would otherwise be using an engine that not even Honda dealers had a parts list for.
With that said, I have dreamed of simaler ideas, I would start out buy getting ahold of either someone who imports mini trucks, or someone who imports Honda engines, as they are both going to be importing shipping containers of stuff from japan.

yea true.. if something in the engine goes out its hard to find a part for it. it would be awesome if honda made a 1.3 liter vtec-e just like the vx motor, but .2 liters smaller.

I talked once with a local engine importer and they said they could probably get me a D13B if I wanted. I never followed through. I think it was Best Japanese Engines in Marietta, GA.
