L2H2 for 1998 civic HX
 
hellow all. im new to the site and am amazed at all the good info here on this site. i have a question regarding the d16y5 primary o2 sensor in my 1998 civic hx

after 214,000 miles the stock sensor finally gave out. and i looked for replacements and found that the l2h2 was the stock replacement ntk sensor. so i scoured the internet and found a l2h2 ntk 24302 sensor and bought it .

now when i recived it it had a smaller wire harness and different wire colors. figured it was just b/c its not oem honda. well i remove my stock sensor and see it has l1h1 ingraved in it. well do some more searching and i see that the l2h2 is a new updated version of the old l1h1 sensor.

well after 30miles or so i get a check engine code 61 * primary o2 sensor*

is the l2h2 not the sensor that i can use ?? im very stumped b/c every were i look even the vendor states the l2h2 is stock on the hx. and the sensor bolts right in and plugs right in to.

any insight to my problem i would greatly appreciate it alot.

Man, I have a 99 HX too. Maybe consult a Honda Dealer?

anyone . ? i cleared the ecu but still get a cel .

There aren't many HX drivers here!
