Hello from Northern Virginia!
Hello Folks!,
I would like to introduce myself. I live just outside of DC, about 45 miles out in Leesburg, VA. Vehicle #1 -- 2002 Ford Explorer 4x4 XLT 4.6. This is my tow vehicle for our trailer and it gets horrible mileage. Luckily I ride the bus to work, so I am only driving it a couple of mile a day. I get 12-14 MPG usually right now, which is pretty horrible, but my drive to the bus lot is only 2 miles. Vehicle #2 -- 2003 Toyota Sienna CE -- Surprisingly, we get 27 highway and 22 around town without any efforts -- I would like to push that up a little. Vehicle #3 --? I am considering purchasing a gas saving car, a Metro or Civic for errands, but I am not sure about how much I could save versus just working with my existing vehicles. I am not much of a hardware guy, so a lot of these mods are pretty intimidating! For now I am going to try pumping up my tires, ditching the roof racks this weekend, and getting synthetic oil, as well as driving slow and easy. Anyway, welcome! --Pete |
Welcome! Good to see you're putting your vehicles in the garage and posting gaslogs. I'm not too far from you, in Charleston, WV.
Keep posting - we'll help you get your MPG up! |
