Looking for hypermilers in Tucson, Ariz.
 

Hi everyone,
My name Shelley Shelton, and I'm the consumer issues reporter for the Arizona Daily Star here in Tucson. I'm working on a story about hypermiling and am having a really tough time finding a local person or two who's actively doing it. I hate to think that we Tucsonans are oblivious to such things! Is there anyone out there from Tucson or Southern Arizona who might have a few minutes to spare today for a relatively quick (10-20 minute) phone interview? You would think so, but actually I'm hoping to find someone with a local point of view, on how well it works out around here on our streets. But I am also looking for someone who can give me a broader perspective on hypermiling, its origins, what the online community is like, associated dangers and how to avoid them, etc., and for that I can talk to anyone who has lengthy experience with hypermiling.
