I think sometimes people assume that the math doesn't work out even though they haven't done the math. It's okay not to do the math, but if you won't then it would make sense to figure out the real reason for your choice.

Your sig has a link about plug-in hybrids, which includes this:
"Chevrolet
No vehicles offer plug-in capability in the year 2008."

While that's true, it's missing very important information: The Chevrolet Volt has received the official go-ahead for production and should be in showrooms as a 2010 model. 40 miles range without running the gas engine, and something like 650 miles range if you burn some gas. The gas engine is not connected to the drivetrain at all, only to a generator.

We all know that the next EV is only one year away according to marketing groups. I will wait and update my review then.
