Just found this site today -- Toyota Celica

I recently had purchased a 1990 Toyota Celica ST to reduce my fuel expenses while commuting/working (vs the Hyundai Entourage I need to drive when carting the family around).

Anyone else drive a Celica, have any tips for me?

I try to be careful with the way I drive it, but I don't use pulse & glide or anything like that. I'm currently getting between 29.5 and 31mpg. It is an automatic.

To increase mileage, put your car in the garage and start a gaslog on this site. (Click the Garage tab at the top).

Keeping a gaslog will increase your mileage as you start to pay more attention.

Put it in neutral down hills and at stoplights. This will help as well. Neutral can help in traffic jams - it takes less effort for the engine to run if it's disengaged.

Keep your tires inflated properly or overinflated a few PSI - will help a little there too. Keep reading the site for more tips and ask questions!
