Good job! I wish more people could(would) do this. I'm not only riding a motorcycle now to work so I'm getting 75-80mpg where I used to get 22mpg but when my lease is up I'm moving within 4 miles of work.

I would definitely ride a bike but I drive between 80mi/day to and from work.

I did find a bike trail fairly close to my house so now I have no excuse to get back into mountain biking.

80mi/day!!! And I'm sick of my 25 mi/day.

I drive 80mi/day too, but it's scenic and low-traffic so it's actually quite relaxing. That's one of the reasons that having a comfortable, spacious, trouble-free car is so important to me.

i bike when i can but thats not all too often. i do consolidate trips like a madman tho...

cant really bike anywhere else than a block aweay (nothing else a block away! LOL ) unless ya wanna bike 10+ miles to get anywhere, 15+ to get anywhere entertaining...

Now after 22 miles I have lost 5lbs I feel even better and more healthy and I use zero gallons of gas to get to and from work. I have even talked my wife into starting to ride with me. In a way my standard of living has decreased but in actuality it has increased.

Now I feel like I am not a total slave to OPEC/ Oil companies/ Gas stations/ Bad energy policies/ Greedy politicians/ Lobbyist/ Bush and Chaney's oil administration/ our blindness to our country being sold right out from underneath us/ The redistribution of wealth/ Socialism/ Stat-ism/ Elitism/ Consumerism/ Bad trade policies/ the unlawful collection of taxes and much more but I will stop now.

Anyway I love the bike and I feel better because of the freedom from oil and all of the above.

I rode my bike last year to and from work sometimes but I no longer have a bike. I'm pretty happy with the 60+mpg I'm getting right now though.

This evening my wife and I went on a family bike ride with our 4 month old baby in Tokyo and it was terrific. We traveled a total of 5 miles for a grand total of zero gallons of gas used. Also due to one way streets and serious evening traffic we were able to get to the 4 stores quicker than we could have by driving. Oh and parking in Tokyo is near impossible so not paying parking fees is another added benefit.
