Heat Insulation/Dynamat insulator

i was using the old noodle, trying to think of a way to get Blackhawk to warmup faster to get to it peak power,fe, etc..Some do they whole grill blocking, which is something i was thiniing about. but then i had a brain fart. More insulation, i founthis stuff Dynamat insulator, it's a sound/heat padding. Wouldn't this in theory word to get the car to warm up faster(and not having to worry about it over heating)? and on the plus side cut back on the noise the engine makes? As anyone used this? i need some input (as Johnny 5 would say)lol:D

Marvin has a big wad of something like that underneath the hood from the factory.

so will it work? cause i'm worried about the overheating part of it.

you'll be fine. your full on temps may be higher of course, but it will warm up faster. currently, my car has about an inch of this stuff from the factory on it. probably not as robust, but its there. When its 115 outside, its 210. Runs fine, I've never seen it above 215, even idling in traffic. Put it on, and use your grill block as the temp adjuster. I wouldn't worry. Although the extra weight may be a consideration to think about.

well tercel engine are good fe motors, but they are extremely easy to over heat. my temp runs like 175 or 185 i forget. but my mech. warned me with the raditor got a crack in it, to never like touch red because the overheat so easily. thats why i'm not sure on this.
But wouldn't the fan kick on to help cool down the engine?
I don't have grill block yet. i wanted to try this first. or should it be the other way around?
