Hello World!

Look toward learning new and exciting things here. Lots of cool mods! If these gas prices keep going up the bike will get dusted off.

Currently driving a 2007 Yaris HB. My old 86 CRX HF gave up in 2001 - advanced under carriage rot. I wish I could buy another HF. I easily got 55 MPG in the summer.

Welcome. Impressive MPG. Have you considered getting a scanner yet?

Hi, thanks for the good encouragement. I have a Scangauge II connected and monitor the instantaneous MPG, RPM, TPS, and MAP. These new cars have alot of parameters to pull off the CAN bus. The problem is how to use the data to your advantage. If nothing else it gives me something to tinker with.

Looking at you post, I see you are experimenting with an electrical power plant. If I may ask, is it home-brew? How many KW is your motor, battery type, and endurance (distance before recharge). Electric is the way to go!

I am building a battery charger only.

Current electric vehicle battery chargers only have at best 85% efficiency. The high efficiency units retail for over $4,000. Yet, a home built one costs just $200 in parts along with about 8 hours of labor.

Thanks for asking and good luck!
