this is another update of my local paper asking for fuel saving tips. altho the author used another (hypermiler) in a previous story, he did use SOME of my suggestions this time. i would be the first person quoted(Scott).

he printed an abbreviated version of my email, leaving out strategies thought to be radical or unsafe perhaps.

Does a low-flow muffler work as poorly as a low-flow toilet?

An upgraded exhaust system (and an upgraded free-flow intake) may help MPG if you're always running at redline, but at low RPM there's not going to be any difference.
