Has anyone else noticed the #1 MPG and #1 above EPA ratings?
I'm having a hard time believing that a car that is rated at combined 31 MPG is getting 1415 MPG and 4464% above EPA. That's only 70.67 gallons of gas for 100,000 miles. That car is worth a FORTUNE.

many millions of dollars have been made because of "TYPOs"
you'd think someone would have fixed it by now |
anyway this site aint what its used to be...
|
Yea if only they had made me a moderator (I send them a pm!) And i saw that a looong time ago and even tried to change it :D
But off course im not... :( |

Could a moderator please fix this?
(See also the suggested changes to the top 10, which would have prevented this single-entry gaslog from making the list anyway). |
they were looking for moderators a while back. not sure if they would pick up an extra one now.
I know that 101mpg is a moderator. |

I assumed when they said something about needing moderators, that more people said they would do it than they needed.
that is just an assumption though. it has been a few months ago though but since I have been here so no more than 4 months ago when they were asking about it. https://www.gassavers.org/showthread....ighlight=admin found the thread. here you go. |
Personally I wish they would take all those scooters off that score card. Not many people on her have scooters. It is all cars and trucks.

Hey guys-
101mpg actually noticed that last week too, but we can't seem to be able to fix it. Pretty sure only the admin can fix that. (I wonder if that car was being towed behind a motorhome for that trip, and the gas disappeared due to evaporation!) We're on it, sorry about the inconvenience. By the way, if you want to bring something to the attention of moderators, you can also use the "report post" - mostly that function is used for spam but you can also type another explanation into the report. Just because a post is reported doesn't mean it gets deleted. -Bob C. |

Well if they are still looking for mods you know who to get :D
|
Does that person even post?
Edit: XavierDFA doesn't have a single post in the forums lol |

I just want to know what kind of mods he is using! Must be one of those hydrogen generators where the car runs on about 2% gas 98% hydrogen?

I think there should be a category for 50cc scooters. They shouldn't even be categorized with motorcycles, because you're not even required to have a motorcycle license for them. I haven't even got my motorcycle in the garage, because I get so close to the same mileage tank after tank and I'm not going to use any hypermiling techniques on it. When I ride a bike I do it for enjoyment and don't worry so much about the gas. |
it looks like someone fixed the crazy guy with 1400 mpg

What's funny is I can remember "back in the day" when people complained about some of our Honda Insights (mine included) were in the top 10 because they were hybrid.
|
we need to take all of the cars out of the runnings except for the 1997 cavaliers. lol
I would still probably be second or third. |

It does turn up one 1997 Cavalier (and 6 other cars, some of which are cavs, but none are '97), but it doesn't have a gaslog. |
View all and then use your browser to search for Cavalier. You'll only get cars whose names include Cavalier, but it's better than nothing.

Has anyone noticed that the transmission type isn't in the standard options list? Fortunately some descriptions mention it by accident and the ones that do are all sticks at the top. That tells me that with my bunch of ATs I won't be running with the big dogs.
|
it just means you will have to work harder to get up there. you are probably right, I don't think you will see any ATs in the top 10.
if it helps, mine is an auto and I have hit 38 on a tank. also, mine is a relatively large engine as far as gassaving 4-cyls go (2.2 liters) and it is a chevrolet which isn't known for efficiency either. the mixed EPA on mine is 25. I hope to someday hit 40. just on a tank. that would make me happy. my average seems to be going up. my next tank is going to suck because I let my wife borrow the scangauge. she is working on the mileage in her honda element. all-wheel-drive but still 4-cyl (also an auto). she got 25.5MPG there again not too bad for AWD suv that weighs almost 4K lbs. she is working on it. |

As soon as the Admin gets around to it, I'll have the proper permissions and get this FIXED - permanently. It's a HIGH priority for me.
