Replaced L/H fork seal (again!) This is the third one. Might try fitting some gaiters to keep the muck off.

Must plan fuel stops so that don't use motorway services. Saw a price of 148.9p/litre at Corley Services for BP ultra! Same day saw 134.9p on A34 at Leics. That's a difference of £3.22 on the journey to Cadwell alone.

Service done: oil, filters, brake fluid change @ 9776 miles OEM fork seals available but not fitted as no sign of leakage. Dealer will replace under warranty (1 yr) if req'd.

Two new (non BMW) fork seals fitted under warranty. These will need to be replaced for BMW brand ones when they become available (Oct/Nov). Front tyre has 1.5mm thread depth, rear has 2.5mm. Need to replace them shortly.

Fuel pump and computer changed under warranty. Fuel system/computer recalibrated and fuel gauge now reads accurately along with range calculation

Fuel gauge shows 3 bars (out of 8) when full; range calculated at 80 miles; reserve light (should be 4 litres left) came on at 130 miles; filled up when range down to 5 miles (tank almost empty so should take almost 16 litres but could only get in 13.8 litres). Current mpg is 62 (measured over 800 miles) so range is about 218 miles, reserve should light up at around 164 miles (64 miles left - which is what it says).
