Took in because of loose battery terminal cable. They installed a shim on the positive battery post. Also did a coolant flush and a wheel alignment on their recommendation.

After experiencing oil leakage, a constant rattling sound from the engine, and a periodic check engine light, took to Ken Garff. Replaced leaking spool valve and adjusted valves (oil leak). Replaced timing belt tensioner (rattling sound).

Issues still to address: Leaking spool valve Leaking valve cover Timing belt tensioner failed (should this have been replaced when timing belt was done?) Tire wear indicates alignment needed. Due to cupping on rear tires, tire rotation was across the car (swapping left and right, but keeping front on front and rear on rear. Quoted $1,187.67 to replace timing belt tensioner (same level of labor as replacing the belt itself). Quoted $1,291.17 for tuneup, includes spool valve and valve covers.

Check engine light came on. John Egan pulled the code: P3400. “Valve pause system stuck off”. He said that sometimes a code will get thrown after a valve adjustment, but he’s not sure if that’s what this is. He will consult with James and look the code up. Meanwhile he cleared the code and we will see if it comes back again. ***Edit*** light came back on later the same day. Service appointment scheduled for 5 November.

100k service: timing belt kit. Includes timing belt, water pump. Spark plugs. Replaced power steering fluid. Oil change. Also found a motor mount was going bad, replaced.

Replaced cabin air filter Driver-side sliding door issue: appears to be related to safety feature that prevents door from opening fully when window is ajar. Make sure window is fully closed.
