It's been a good one but this Jeep is being sold after 262,272 miles in service. Fuels costs and the deteriorating condition of the Jeep has forced me into a more fuel efficient but perhaps no more fun a vehicle. It has been fun.

1999 Gun Metal Pearl Coat bought new in May 1999. I've been pretty good on maintenance but NEVER change the oil @ 3K rather than 5K. Sometimes it goes longer than that and I have been lucky. The engine has a bit of piston slap when cold but it levels out once it's warm. Original exhaust system although ALL of the factory welded hangers have rusted/broken from the pipes. Original spark plugs and wires too!! I do need to change the wires though because the moisture of a very humid day will keep it from starting.

Just turned over 240,000 miles recently. By year's end I will hit 250,000... unless the motor croaks first.
