Unable to log last fuel-up..."CHECK TIRE PRESSURE" warning graphic obscures mileage readon on odometer. Found a gas station which sells ethanol-free fuel...prices low enough to give it a try. Last fuel-up was using that product @ $3.99/GAL...two weeks later prices lower still.

Should have waited longer, cannot trust my fuel gauge anymore. No way it should have been registering as completely empty when there were near two full gallons left. Range should have exceeded 400 miles, easy. Tire pressure alert due to weather change may have had something to do with it. Need routine service done, not likely to happen before next weekend.

Found a convenience store that offers ETHENOL-FREE unleaded...which, much to my dismay costs more than diesel. Might give it a try at some point, definitely not doing it today.

Convinced that poor fuel economy over the second half of the summer was due to a failing battery. First tankful after having it replaced brought me back well over 400 miles in range for the first time I can remember in a while.

Needed a new battery, installed on 03SEP2014. Failing battery could possibly explain sub-400 mile ranges and sub-30 mph ratings on the past few tankfuls going back thru August.

($-0.20) Kroger Plus discount applied. Car was parked maybe half the week as I was the rider in the car-pool. Coilover shocks were installed on 27AUG2014...ride height lowered, hopefully see a better result for HWY MPG from an aerodynamic upgrade. The new shocks are A LOT lighter than the factory shocks, so hopefully a slight weight reduction will work in my favor, too. Fuel economy has not been as great since getting the service done in Ohio...not sure the correct motor oil was used.
