As I said earlier, you can't let the lemmings dictate how fast you drive. In the city, most arterials have multiple lanes, and I stay in the right lane most of the time so faster traffic can pass me. On country roads I'll tighten my delta to 5 over the PSL down to 5 under. That makes my average almost the same as the PSL, and keeps most people happy. Traffic is usually light enough for the impatient ones to pass me. If I stack up 5 cars, I pull over and let them pass.

In my xB, 83 LOD acceleration is about average leaving a stoplight. In my SE-R, it's pretty spirited - not stoplight drag racing, but faster than most cars accelerating from a stoplight.

In terms of fuel consumption, it's about 27 mpg for 7 seconds, and 250 mpg for 15 seconds on each pulse and glide cycle at freeway speeds.

my quest was only 12k and it has dvd and power hatch and side door. the new market is better than it used to be but nothing like the used one.

it isn't that I can't but more that I have other places for my money to go.

my wife priced out a cube that she wanted (with certain bells and whistles) and it came out to around 17k though I know we could talk them down from that but still.
