I'll call it a full fuel-up though 115,883odo 91octane left Jason's apartment for return to Hayward; stopped at Harris Ranch at 9:30a for potty breaks and a walk around, no fuel-up as there was still 1/2 tank [116,067odo] home by noon; 116,239odo

Shell at Bear Valley and 395 cash 113871odo 91octane second try! trying to leave Victorville. Icy, but now going south through Cajon Pass [I-15] is open. Will travel west on 210 to Ventura and then north on 101 through Paso Robles, Gilroy, San Jose to 880 and home!

Shell at Bear Valley and 395 Amazon Visa [refused my debit and the card at the pump; went inside, put $60 on and the rest will refund] 113662odo ended up stuck in Mojave just before to 14 interchange on 58; Tehachapi closed for winter storms last night and still ongoing! Tried to go to Ridgecrest and take the recommended 178 but that was also getting same snow. Would have needed chains to continue! went back home to moms.

Fuel control module was dying: attempt to drive to Arizona found it burning out more frequently: I got to Barstow with two deaths, and three more to get back to mom's. Dream Car Repair is about the only one that services BMWs in the High-Desert. The new part cost ~$390 [I should/could have bought it on my own when it first died a month ago!]. Needed it programmed too, but they would not do it because it takes hours and they need to close. So I couldn't get it done before the weekend, and had to borrow mom's car [both to get to Arizona and to get home]. Then it still wasn't ready when mom was trying to get it taken care of because then it needed a new battery [another $200+] and programming, which again did not et done before the end of the weekend, so I had to wait another week... Returned two weeks later to get my car, it sounds like it is all done. Worked okay to get home, no more problems, but I have to clear the service reminders for oil, wheel rotate, and general service. Probably spent over $1100 on it all.

Chevron/Barstow 89octane, $4.55/gal!! 112,365odo have had two loss of power from the fuel control module; am turning back to mom's house and not going to Arizona [will end up three more power losses; borrow mom's car for the weekend and even to get back home because my car is still waiting for work at Dream Cars Repair in Victorville!]

Front right tire gave a TPMS warning on the way to work [Petaluma} this am--not the usual cold tire when I come out but halfway to Sonoma. When I went to go get lunch, it was flat; I drove to the corner gas station and put air in, and the sidewall was rubbed. After coming out of Lucky's I could hear the air leaking--found a screw embedded. Went down to Big O Tires and they repaired it in about 40 minutes! 110,871odo $34.99
