Had to fill a little early for trip but mpg continues to slide due to winter weather. Used Pilot 87 octane this time.

Stayed with Marathon 87 octane. On board computer down to 18.6 mpg. Some cold mornings and warmups may cut mpg down.

Dec 3 2010

Stayed with Marathon 87 octane. Its seems to work better than other fuels. On board computer continues to read 18.8 mpg. One trip to Springfield probably boosted overall economy.

Marathon again. 87 octane. 1 trip to Springfield will probably boost over ecomony. On board computer had been reading 18.7 but now back to 18.8 mpg. Have to be seeing the effects of colder weather driving.

Switched over to Mobil 87 octane because there isn't 10% corn syrup in the blend. Noticing a slight drop in fuel ecomony. On board computer down to 18.7 mpg overall. I admit, I've been pushing vehicle a little harder plus early morning defrostings. Here goes.

Not sure what to expect. Last fill-up was BP 89 octane. Went back to Marathon 87 octane. Had one highway trip to Sprinflield for about 72 miles. On board computer locked on 19 mpg overall.

Gased up at BP this time. Not sure what to expect. Used slightly less fuel this time so expecting about the same or a little more. On board computer pegs mpg @ 18.9 and I've tickled 19 mpg a couple of times. Not bad for city driving.

Stuck with Marathon 87 octane. Expect mpg to be down some since all my driving on the last tankful was city. On board computer continues to show avg mpg @ 18.9. Hit 19 once before falling back.
