belinda and crew fuelled up somewhere on 495 towards Maine...after 3 hours on road (and trip to spfld added in at beginning to pick up her brother and his gf). waiting for the real numbers....they say it looks to be down a quart of oil, which would be 1/3 liter lost per hour...wow. concerned about drain bolt possibly having vibrated looses....but it could be that they just didn't wait long enough for oil to drain down to pan.

changed oil filter and oil 3.2 liters 5w-30 bosch filter no sealing washer on drain bolt; used The Right Stuff on last threads and bolt collar. Big filter!!! compared to 92 accord DX. and can reach it from the top-though i did it from the bottom. Next oil change 5000 mi /72700 on odometer; or 6 mos, jan 20 2013.

Just checked front brakes; plenty of wear remaining on pads and rotors but right front caliper seems a bit tight to the disk and there's a groove worn into it; probably worth disassembling both and cleaning and regreasing. Dust boot on front shocks is torn both sides.
