On a recent trip to Charleston I attempted to use an inverter that was plugged into my accessory power port. Unfortunately the inverter pulled too many amps and damaged the auxiliary power port. A new one was installed today.

The front brake replacement included resurfacing the rotors. It was also recommended that the back brakes be cleaned and adjusted for tension, but in for the discussion with the technician I decided not to go forward with that as it did not sound like it was actually necessary.

During my earlier visit with Honda, they suggested that I have my wheels rotated and aligned. I brought it to Firestone where I have the alignment lifetime warranty and then proceeded to purchase the lifetime wheel balance. It turns out that I already had a lifetime wheel balance at Walmart, which I forgot about it completely. I was able to get this lifetime wheel balance at a savings of $50 after chatting with Marcus who helped me out. On the wheel alignment only the front left was out.

Regular oil change and the suggestion that I have my front brake pads replaced as they are currently down to 3 mm and about 2 mm is the absolute most you want them to get down to.

When they did the service they tried to pitch me there 30,000 mile service package which cost $400 and didn't really include much of anything I couldn't do myself with the exception of the transmission oil change. They also suggested that I replace my front brakes, or at least be aware of the fact that they will need replacement soon. After the passenger side airbag inflator was replaced, there were two bolts that were left on the passenger side floor of my vehicle which made me anxious about whether or not the replacement was done correctly. I eventually took it back to the dealership where the service manager Todd had a service technician evaluate and confirm that the bolts were accessory bolts that had not been disposed of.

The battery has been giving me problems after coming back from traveling in that it would not start the car. I had the battery tested two times and they said there was nothing wrong with it. Finally it would no longer start the car so I brought it in to have an alternator test suspecting that that might be the problem. Turns out that the battery was in fact bad the alternator was fine.
