Oct 13, 2014 Betsy went to a better place.....Tahoe T-boned Betsy. Good news everyone walked away.. and the Tahoe had to be towed away.... new story begins with the 2013 Black Stallion...we'll see if the 2013 is better than the 2012..ofr MPG... :-)

Nothing special. Mostly slow driving. Been hot but not to bad. VMPG was average of 26.xx

Finally arrived in Spring. Part over.... Overall trip average was 38.41. Nt bad for a full trunk, full back seat and two people.....

Vmpg ranged from 43 - 45. 44.+ was average. Highest seen was 45.5 and display for a few miles. Bought in Jackson's but stayed in canton,ms

Vmpg 42. On the way home. Fillup in Clinton,tn where we stayed. I think this gas was less ethonal because the next mileage will be much better.

Bought regular gas. 2/3rds was on route 2 so should get reasonable mileage. This mileage consisted of about a 50/50 mix of ethonal and non-ethonal gas. So next reporting will be on all ethonal gas.. Vmpg was 35. Gas bought in lorain

Last leg, scottsburg to Avon. Lot of road construction thrust lot of stop and go driving. This part of drive consisted of 95% NON ethonal gas. Vmpg reported 42.+. This purchase of gas back to ethonal mix. So. Next reporting will consist of 55% NON ethonal and 45 % ethonal mix. All three fillups and total mileage the Average MPG was 39.94. For a full trunk , back seat full of stuff and two people I am very happy with MPG, even hyundai would be surprised. Buying NON ethonal gas is a loss when calculating cost per mile. If I could get about 5-6 miles per gal more then I would figure that is break even. This no gain for me..... Back to ethonal...

Second leg of trip, Bryant to scottsburg. This leg consist of 1/3 of ethonal gas and 2/3 NON ethonal gas. The mpg reported was 43.+. Premium for gas was about .40 cents.

First leg of trip. Spring to Bryant. Average speed for entire drive to Ohio was at 65 mph. The mileage was all using ethonal gas for this leg of drive. But did buy NON ethonal gas in Bryant. Just 11.5 gals and cost was at a premiums of .40 cents. This purchase will be noticed in next entry.

Nothing special... Just driving. Vmpg reported 24 - 27 Previous fillup was from gas I had at home. Today I filled up at kroger.

Bought kroger gas with a $1 off per gallon. Vmpg average was 30.4. Drove with ECO on. Weather was 60-85 degrees. Couple of trips to woodlands.

3 trips to harbor freight and 1 to woodlands. Still using kroger gas. Vmpg on the average display 31.5. I noticed that the GPS showed same number miles travelled. So mileage better because of trips on 45. Majority driving without bluelink

Kroger gas from previous fill up and filled up with kroger gas this time. Drove to Conroe for baseball game was a 70 mile round trip. No other special driving..... Weather has been cool during drives... From 35 - 50 degrees. During Conroe drive mpg reported 34.4...

Round trip to Fredericksburg,tx. Bought gas twice, 1st time 10 gals 2nd purchase 13.25 gals. Computer mpg display range of 33.xx on the average. Weather was cool 28 to 45 degrees on this trip. Seems like we should have done better.....trunk was filled but back seat was mostly empty.... Used kroger regular gas..

weather has been chilly in the night and mornings and comfortable in the afternoon normally.. ranges from about 30 - 65 degrees.. gas mileage per notch: 1 - 26 , 2 - 26, oil changed on 1/7/14, 3 - 47, 4 - 39, 5 - 34, 6 - 21 before I filled up. used regular Kroger this time, as last time....

Weather has been cool so impact to gas or MPG issue may be due to using regular shell. Today I bought regular Kroger.... Mileage per notch: 1-41, 2-27, 3-30, 4-34, 5-46, 6-21, 7-43, 8-24, 9-30, 10-9. Computer MPG number on average displayed 28.8

Using regular shell on last fill up seems I got less mpg. Bought regular shell again and we will see how it goes. Weather has been good. Avg 50 - 65 Mpg reported by the car was average of 30 - 32 Drove to greens point once.. Only highway driving Miles per notch: 1- 38 2- 43 3- 31 4- 19 5- 45 6- 24 All between 11/18-12/04/13

Mileage per notch is as followsL 1 - 22, 2 - 51, 3 - 44, 4 - 36, 5 - 42, 6 - 24. Estimated mpg has shown 30 - 33. So the estimated is beginning to report what I want to see but now I need to see the actual perform as well as the estimated. Drove to greens point once. Up to the woodlands once. Remainder has just been the Same basic drive around to shop and visit. Bought regular Shell gas this time - again, half a tank..

Weather has been cooler. 70's and mid 80's Mileage per notch: 35,40,43,24,34,45. The computer was reporting that my average MPG was normal int he 30.xx range. So if the actual mileage was around 29 then we maybe the car is beginning to understand my driving habits. Most mileage was city. Think when to woodlands once. And last 20 miles on car was to greens point. This is the 4th half fillup with shell mid grade .... So I can now say I am driving all shell...

Weather has been not too hot. Only drove once to woodlands. Bought shell plus again...... At this time seems like the. Plus. Gas flavor is a waste of money..... This car really is designed for highway driving.. Tracking each notch. Readings where as follows...26,26,47,30,35,32

Two trips to Conroe. Still has mostly been in the 90's over two week period. Last half fillup I had 1/2 tank of medium kroger and 1/2 tank of medium shell. So today the fill up was with medium shell. Need to remember that I fill up now when I get down to about a 1/2 tank of gas....

Purchase of kroger medium grade did not do much for mileage. The period has been hottttt.. Upper 90's for at least a month.. Needless to say I enjoy the creature co forts, like air conditioning.... Around 73-75... So this time I am trying shell mid grade and will try a couple of more times to see impact to mileage.... Will have cleaner engine at least.... So now have about half tank of kroger medium and half tank shell medim
