On Aug. 22, my 650r died. After getting towed home (thanks to AAA Plus), I removed the battery. Even though the Duralast battery just a few weeks shy of its one year anniversary, fluids in the cell were very low. I replaced the battery with a lithium battery. Engine cranked, but no start. So, I had it towed to Woods Fun Center. Diagnosis: dead fuel pump. I also had them do the 25,000 major service (minus oil change). Picked up motorcycle on Aug. 29.

New tires -- Michelin Road 2 on front and Road 3 on rear. Put on by Kasson's for $456.97 (199.50 for R3, 139.50 for R2, 90 for labor, 27.97 tax). Dropped off 9/4, picked up 9/5.

My first motorcycle! I bought it used on Oct, 21, 2012, less than a month after completing the motorcycle safety course and getting my M license. It had about 6,100 miles on it. I started slow but started riding more and more in November and December. Now, I ride as often as I can, primarily for my work commute (64 miles round trip, mostly highway miles).
