Showing a single fuel-up

Thermostat replaced, coolant changed out via radiator drain (engine block not drained). Operating temperature of 92 C achieved in <10 minutes now & maintains that in <45 F ambient air temps while cruising @70mph. Fuel mileage unchanged. Wandering idle on cold start-ups due to intake manifold swirl flaps being inoperative. Fuel economy also suspected to be directly related to this. Pierburg servo motor link arm drilled, link bar drilled at botth ends, swirl flap rail arm drilled. Steel cable threaded through holes & twisted to force alignment & connection of all components via ball & socket, holding. Instant demonstrable improvement of fuel mileage. Fuel economy should continue to trend upward as long as repair holds up.
