Brakes had failed in normal driving, took to Andrews Auto for repair. Pinhole leak in front brake line had caused loss of fluid and hydraulic pressure. Repair of line cost $127.74 (Part $10.23, Labor $109.43 plus tax of $8.08. Brakes operating well following repair.

Turn signals and emergency flashers suddenly stop functioning. All light bulbs good, parking lights work. Checked fuses (OK), checked relay for signals/flashers, tested with new relay at Advance Auto, no improvement. Disassembled fascia around steering column and beneath steering wheel, checked and reattached all electrical connections. Function of signals and flashers returned. Whoo-Hoo!

ODO=130,267 Clockring replaced per recall. Airbag light had been on, horn and cruise control were not functioning. No cost. Also front seatbelt retractors replaced per recall. No cost.

ODO=130,205 Replaced both wipers with Michelin Stealth blades, 28" and 26", bought at Walmart, $12.88 each, total with tax = $27.50 Great improvement in wiping windshield completely clean. (Sleeting/snowing today)

ODO=129,300 Replaced Valve Cover Gasket on front three cylinders, labor my own. Used one of two gaskets sold as pair for about $60.00. Keeping extra gasket for future needs. Odo=129300

NEW BATTERY installed today. Interstate Batteries 800 CCA, purchased at COSTCO for $82.99 + $6.61 sales tax. Core fee of $15.00 added to price, but refunded upon return of old battery. 42-month free replacement warranty. Installed at home.

ODO=124,889 Changed oil and filter with Mobile One 5W-30. Inserted new drain plug (17mm socket size) and new nylon plug washer, replacing older plug with baked on rubber washer, smaller socket size.

Replaced old dry, cracking tires with four new Sumitomo Touring LST tires. 215/65 R15 640 Treadware A, Temp B Wheel Alignment on Tues Feb 11, 2014 Front tires installed and wheels aligned on Tues Feb. 11, 2014 (before snowfall). Rear tires installed on Tuesday Feb 18, 2014. All work performed at Mock Tire on Stratford Rd. (Frank 774-0081)

Antifreeze leakage (small amt) seen under car in line with radiator pressure cap. No warning light or high temp reading noted. Filled antifreeze reservoir tank up to minimum line with Prestone 50/50 premixed antifreeze. Also replaced pressure cap with new one from Advance Auto.

Brake warning light flashes briefly when making left turn. No braking trouble noted, but reservoir is below Minimum line. Topped off brake fluid reservoir with new bottle of DOT #3 brake fluid. Light no longer flashes on left turn.
