I have been filling up my Clio with a full tank every 2 months on average covering around 400-500 miles to a full tank returns 44MPG. I've decided I'm going to trial only filling the car up with exactly 31 litres of fuel, reasoning for this is my old Smart diesel fortwo had the same size and easily obtain 300-350 miles each fill up so will see what difference it. Through careful calculation I estimate I will gain around 264miles for 31litres and after which likely to only fill the car with half a tank meaning 27.5 litres costing around £36 a fill up should be once a month visit. Wait for update people !

Using standard SHELL DIESEL I found as soon as I drove on the motorway the fuel mpg disappeared. Did a 140 mile round trip of the M25 and time to refuel dropped so quickly it was crazy. I think motorway driving efficiency is not this cars forte !!
