I also had a gas leak on the back of my tank for three days. The first day it was dripping regulary. After replacing a hose, the next day it drip less regulary (off and on), so I used JB Weld, and I could not see a visible drip, but it was moist the third day. On the third day, I siliconed the area, and it hasn't drip or been moist since.
