That's pretty cool. I think the park and ride program is a good one. Thanks to Urban Sprawl most of us live too far away from the bus terminals. Providing a place to park is a good thing.

To me motives are irrelevant on this issue. A widely different society will be motivated by widely different things. If it takes a price increase for people to drive more conservatively, so be it.

You hit it spot on. My friend and I were talking about this recently. Gas going up will only hurt us a little. it will REALLY hurt the drivers of the SUVs, hummers, etc.
