I buy name brand (goodyear etc.) timing belts at autozone etc. and have never had a problem with any of them fraying, cracking or wearing out prematurely- but peace of mind can be worth an extra $30.

I commonly use long "cheater" pipes on my breaker bars- long enough so that the 1/2" breaker bar will sometimes begin to flex.

That's when I bought a 3/4" breaker bar...

I have used the chain wrench method on my 94 accord and it worked OK. I prefer to just use an impact wrench by itself, but my impact couldn't do loosen that one so I had to use the chain wrench and...
