Maybe the balancer belt doesn't get replaced...

Maybe the balancer belt doesn't get replaced normally? Maybe the only downside to a belt failure there is a bit more pronounced secondary vibration?

I would guess it does no real harm if it fails.

I'm not sure actually... I was just hoping a few people would just say X or Y.

I think the viscosity is in the range of regular motor oil for the manual.

treb, unfortunately, Honda considers all of Canada a severe service zone even though out neighbours in Buffalo get far worse extremes in weather - the Toronto area actually gets a pretty mild winter....
