PIE run down to Harrison Idaho, had to try their new Huckleberry-Raspberry. Fresh, homemade, warm and delicious!! And as an added bonus, i got 91mpg with my new Parabellum windscreen!!

Had an amazing ride. @600+ miles, 6 states-Idaho, Montana, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and back to Idaho! Great trip, mostly interstate with some highways, huge mountain passes and summits. I rode elevations from 700' to 11017'!! I rode in temps from 28f to 85f, and in sunshine to rain, snow and hail! Truly an amazing trip! Rode with a ton of gear, half of my dresser haha, and didn't need half of it, lessons for next time! :{)

So this morning i got the itch to take the NC out for a long ride and stretch it's little wintery legs and see what my bum could handle for seat time! Made a 410 mile ride according to mapquest. After several steep grades pulled and a lot of miles with headwinds i topped off my last tank and averaged a nice 74.5MPG, Very pleased! Part of the road i travelled today was Washington HWY12 which is the Lewis and Clark trail!! :{)

Rode the Palouse today. Over to Spokane, down 195 to Pullman, then over to Moscow Idaho to hit Dutch Bro's for a hot coffee. Then up US95 through Tensed, Plummer, Worley and on to Cd'A. Then w/b on I-90 home! Lots of wind blowing nearly every direction today. Also a very chilly, in the high 40's to low 50's. :{)

Two new tires on, smaller 39T rear sprocket installed, luggage removed and set out to beat my old personal best mpg and i did!! Another beautiful ride on the Cd'A River Rd. Blustery day with an early morning rain, crosswinds with gusts about 20-25mph!! I rode 100 miles, stopped and topped off the tank nursing it to the top. The pump stopped at .994 gallons netting me a new personal best of 100.6 MPG!!! WhooRah! :{)

This was on my fav river rd testing grounds. I rode the Cd'A river Rd again. This time with brand new tires F-120/70/17 and R-150/70/17. I also had my camping clothes/gear loaded in my 46L top box for this trip. I figured i'd gain a little with the taller rear tire and then lose a little with the big 46L top box and be a wash, i guess not. So far i've clocked 99 mpg, 98 mpg and now a respectable 94 mpg! This also included a full throttle pass to get around a land Yacht pulling a 30' travel trailer and a 3 mile side road trip. So, pretty good mpg, i'm happy with it! :{)

Pulled both wheels/tires and installed brand new tires. F-120/70/17 and R-150/70/17. Now lets go for a ride and see what kind of mileage increase i can get.

Had great 446 mile ride today. I visited 3 Canadian Border Crossings. Well, for no other reason then to see them and to find another great little place for some delicious PIE!! And boy did I. Crazy weather today. Mostly 20-25 mph head/cross winds with about 35+ mph gusts blowing me all over my lane of travel all day. Man it was wild, I can not remember the last time i fought winds like today. And i still knocked out 76 mpg! Great day, great ride and delicious PIE!! :{)

What a great ride. I rode down US95 to Lewiston, then SH12 east to Orofino, then continued to Lolo Pass and on to Lolo Mt. Then i turned n/b onto US93 up to Missoula, then w/n on I-90 to St Regis and the continued on Home. I ended with 540 miles, blustery head and side winds about 20-30mph, pulled three big mountain passes, braved rain for nearly 2 hours and some more off and on and still pulled 78-mpg! It was a good ride!

Sam's first ride with me. We took I-90 from PF to Wolf Lodge, then SH97 south to Harrison for Pie/Ice Cream of course. THen continued south on SH97 to SH3 and on to St Maries where we stopped at My Kitchen Family diner. Then SH3 north to Rose Lake and went west bound on I-90 to SH41 and stopped for fuel. 127 mile trip, and with identical bikes Sam got 79 mpg and i got 91 mpg! Great ride, beautiful day, great friendship! :{)

Rode up to Norman, then over to the Beaver Creek Camp ground. Rode around a bit down by the lake, then to Priest River for a delicious burger/fries, then home. Rode to/from work a few times until the LCD screen started flashing the gas gauge symbol indicating i'm nearly out of fuel. Which made no sense as i should have had an entire gallon left from my "Guestimate" from the miles i had ridden.
