Accident on Woolwich Road in Greenwich. Car driver turned across the road in front of me. Bike is probably totalled. Awaiting it being collected by Insurance co for assessment. Bike has been written off. Claim to proceed against 3rd Party for negligence.

Rode fast back from Crowle, sitting at higher speeds. Two stops. Filled up at Birchanger Green service station, rip off price of 1.399 (Bastids), so only 10 litres fuel. Filled up in Scunthorpe at Tesco's. Lousy fuel as bike was sluggish riding home.

Ride to Duncan to say goodbye to parents. Heavy traffic on M1 for a long way and also very heavy rainfall. Stopped 4 times to relax and dry out a bit!

Smoother rides recently Lots of green lights and lighter traffic thanks to 1/2 term. Also with the so called storm of 10000 years traffic has been very light. 2/11 - fitted 17 tooth front Sprocket to the bike. Rev's dropped a touch on higher gears for motorway riding. Will see what happens to fuel economy now.

Switched to reserve on way to work. Bike has been running a touch richer by the feel of it. Economy is down this tank. Switching to BP petrol for a while as the Asda one is not proving to be quality.

Topped oil up 1/2 litre needed to get it to middle of dipstick. Need to keep a closer eye on oil consumption. Scottoiler working very well on keeping chain nicely lubed up. Need to top it up next week. 08/09 regreased the front caliper and fitted Iridium Sparkplugs. Bike running smoothly.

Changed Commute in the morning to a more flowing route. Less stop and go riding. Ride home usual way, Old Kent A206 via Evelyn Road.

First proper commuting tank. Lots of heavy traffic and stop start riding. Rather impressive MPG as I have been riding the bike rather hard.

First proper bit of city riding. Brimmed the tank to the limit and will now see what it can give in proper mileage. Bike still restricted, so will see when I have time to remove these and get it breathing properly. MPG is out as the previous tank was not properly brimmed. Next fill up will show real MPG figures.

Collected in Petersfield and then road home at a hard pace to clear carbs. Onto reserve on the A3 and then into garage to fill up. Rode via the normal city commute route. Goes well and is balanced in traffic. Have realised that I did not brim the tank properly, so this is an optimistic reading.
