Wouldn't it be better to have a valve cover breather rather than having a tube going from the valve cover back to the intake???

Valve cover breathers
Breathers were common 40 years ago, but they were phased out to reduce crankcase emissions which, as I remember, were very significant.....about 30% of total uncontrolled emissions. Adding a breather...
