Re: Looking at a used truck tonight
You should invest in a meter. Harbor Freight often has a decent one for $4 or less, although they're currently $5 (https://www.harborfreight.com/catalogsearch/result?q=multimeter). I have a few of the...

Since I've already hijacked this thread, might as well ask...
The hardware kit came with new clips to replace these, whose job (I think) is to stabilize the side of the parking brake shoe 180?...

Re: Looking at a used truck tonight

Re: Looking at a used truck tonight
I bought a kit for $20 with all the guts for both sides.
My adjusters don't have a body. Don't forget I have rear discs. The body is built into a much larger stationary piece of heavy iron. All I...

Re: Looking at a used truck tonight

Re: Looking at a used truck tonight

Re: Looking at a used truck tonight
My adjusters are not seized but they are incredibly difficult to turn. If they're simple to disassemble and reassemble I should do that, wirebrush, lube, etc.
Drat, I've hijacked this thread....

Re: Looking at a used truck tonight
Crap, I forgot to see if there are usable parts on what remains of the S10 in my yard. Anyway I did get the job done, it was tedious and difficult but I adjusted them in...hopefully they'll adjust...

Re: Looking at a used truck tonight
Fetch, if your frame is that bad, you should check your brakes. I'm doing my rear disc brakes and it's blown up into a huge project. Everything is rotted. I may have to take my axle apart to replace...

Re: Looking at a used truck tonight
LOL I think you lost track of what this discussion is about...we're talking about removing the fuel tank for safety while welding the frame near it.
I have (and certainly would again) removed the...

Is there any better protection than waiting for fumes to explode and using a fire extinguisher?
