You'd be surprised at all the parts you can get at Auto Zone with a lifetime warranty. My 517K mile Escort has lifetime spark plug wires, ignition module, front and rear struts, ball joints, tie rod...

I also use the Auto Zone lifetime wires. All you have to do is take them in and tell them you need another set.

I've seen tools that are made specifically for removing spark plug boots. They are made similar to a pair of pliers, but have a rubber coating over the part that grips the boot to prevent the metal...
