Erik, I ran non-detergent oil for about 10,000 miles, on the theory the rings didn't properly set. I also was crazy enough to run Amsoil Engine and Transmission Cleaner for 45 minutes beyond the 15...

When I got Clyde The Ride, the engine consumed over four quarts of oil in 5,000 miles. Finally, the consumption is down...
