Odo 115774. 225 miles was towing (75) with full trailer and SUPs. Stopped at a weigh scale, showed 8700 lbs total weight, 5600 lbs on car alone with full tank of gas. That makes car load plus tongue weight as much as 1,100lbs, and trailer 3100 lbs on single axle.

Premium. Odo 111768. This combined tank was about 60% towing and 100% AC. Trailer very full of water, luggage, 2 SUPs, generator, etc for weeklong trip.

Premium. Odo was reset. Lots of idling in the garage, and about half of this was towing the trailer. AC is blowing cold at least. Odo 110951.

Discovered that the AC problem was caused by a blown fuse, which kept the auxiliary fan from running, which kept the AC from running. The BMW factory wiring diagram was wrong and said a different fuse powered the fan. After I figured that out I replaced the fuse for $3.50 and everything is working again. I also had to replace the passenger rear window regulator for $100.75 in parts (I tried URO this time).

While diagnosing a failed auxiliary fan, my engine control unit and immobilizer became misaligned, resulting in a tow to my local indy. It was only a $99 bill, and the tow was covered by insurance. First fail to start in 4 years of ownership, which is probably quite good.

Changed rear differential oil at odo 110760. Old valvoline synthetic 75w90 I had lying around.
