I have continued using 100% 89 octane. The extra price makes it a wash with what mpg is gained, but at least I have to fill up less often. There was a lot of excessive idle time testing and repairing the cooling system.

During this tank, I replaced the spark plugs and now the car idle betters. I even used seafoam to clean the upper intake.

This tank was 100% 89 octane fuel...no ethanol. There is a lot more highway miles on this tank than previous.

The speedometer malfunctioned during the past two fill ups, so I estimated the mpg @ 21.5 until next fuel up. It's working fine now, and I have no idea why it stopped, and started again.

To work and back. In the morning (4 am) the roads are vacant and very little stopping at traffic lights. In the afternoon (1 pm) it's stop and go due to traffic.
