This had been a tank with significantly less than the usual 10% ethanol. See note for previous fill-up. Remember the car's rated for 25 mpg hwy adjusted for 2008+ EPA regs. I mean, we all know ethanol has less energy content and thus is just a cheap filler when blended for E10. To be fair though: the MPG for this fill-up isn't appreciably greater than the one for the previous, 87-octane E10 tank. A real test of equal-octane, E10 vs. pure gasoline on the same roads in the same conditions is warranted (and probably is detailed somewhere on the Internet).
