Question CA vx with 5 wire o2 sensor?

Was reading this thread:
http://www.gassavers.org/showthread.php?t=7440
about a 94 CA vx with 5 wire o2 sensor and a CA ecu. Is this possible?
I thought you needed the fed ecu to make it work. The reason I'm asking is that I have a CA 94 with a 5 wire sensor. Discovered it after purchasing a 4 wire sensor and attempting to install it. I checked the emmission sticker and it's definitely California.

Is mkiVX still on the board? If so, did you do a conversion?

Anyone else have a guess?

transmission is PERFECT also the clutch is new
has a California p07 instaled great for all of you cali guys for the smog and
i also will include a plug and and play p07 A00 federal lea burn ecu
WHAT ELSE COULD YOU ASK FOR. i got this car on a trade for some work and i wanted it for my wife she opted to go with the 99 4 door ex getting 30mpg
what can i do.

Yes, some of the CA ECU's came with wideband O2's, but nevertheless, the CA ECU isn't as aggressive with lean burn as the federal ECU's are. California at the time was the only state with the stricter drive cycle emissions requirements.
