Usually the dull clatter of a diesel engine doesn't get me too hot under the collar, but I've been reading and hearing about the new Maserati Ghibli and have to say, think I'm in love! Never has a 3.0 litre V6 diesel sounded so sweet! Has a 0-60 time of 6.3 seconds and should do between 40 and 50 UK MPG. Another dream car to add to my want list! Videos are worth a watch if you're a car but like me. Admittedly, the petrol version, made by Ferrari sounds amazing too
Would be the engine of choice for me, and as it's a 4 door saloon and is likely to go up against the German diesel rivals, it will no doubt be the best selling engine too. A friend of mine has just bought one, not sure which engine he has though.

There's my lottery winning ride! I've loved the look of the Quattroporte since I first saw one, glad to hear there is now a diesel - though I bet it won't be doing more than 30 to the gallon!
