"The four-door Clubman All4 offers more practicality than a classic Mini". Almost anything is more practical than a classic Mini but why anyone would choose one of the BMW Mini Hulks over a classic Mini is anyone's guess.

Love the old mini, but anything old is just too unreliable to enjoy in my opinion. We forget how unreliable old cars are because new ones have become so dependable. I'm too young to remember, but my parents remember the days during cold damp winter mornings, cars would really struggle to start sometimes, and needed some form of mechanical work on an almost weekly basis.

I never found the cars I had unreliable, with one exception. And I had old cars (as I still do) so in the 70's I was driving 50's cars.
The original Mini was the nearest thing I have driven that felt like a motorcycle does. With the Mini, you just had to think it and it did it. The handling was superb, on par with many modern cars.

I used to really want cars like a Mini (original), MG-B and others but more recently I think they are just too small. Maybe in part because when I was young and wanted them cars were most of what was on the road not mostly giant SUVs and trucks like now.

The constant worry of being involved in a collision puts me off older cars, as much as I adore thier character, safety standards have moved on too much. Didn't the lead singer of T-rex die in a mini accident? Even a low speed collision could result in serious injury or death.

Like Lincoln Continentals, Ford Galaxies and similar small US cars. Think I would rather run into a new SUV than one of those tanks.

At least there was some chance of seeing through/around the Continental, unlike the big trucks/suvs.
