Starting with today's Globe and Mail: there was a brief bit about the Canadian federal environment minister, whose official vehicle is an E85 minivan.
It was spotted idling (with the government driver sitting in it) for up to 2 hours this week outside a restaurant where the minister was eating.
In his defense, the minister said it was "less than an hour".
Some defense.... "I didn't shoot him 6 times, officer - I only shot him twice, I swear."
