lightest 13" rims ever made - set of five

i have a set of four 13" x 4.5" rims with a slightly bent spare
four have brand new tires mounted ::: 155-80-13
400 treadwear - traction A - temperature B
the fifth rim is bare

the juicy details:
8.3 lbs each on a postal scale
crx hf rims - circa 1985
4x100 bolt pattern

total wheel weight is below 20 lbs !!!
these are just too small for my civic vx
i haven't even put them on the car...i'm really too afraid.
i can tell they would be squirrely to drive on with my 2100 lb car.
but maybe there is someone who could use these
i would say good for a metro or an insight...etc
or just for rears on a drag car.

i will get pictures up...they look like steelies
but i'm pretty damn sure they are aluminum

i will definitely consider trade for vx, hx or other lightweight rims up to 16"
nothing over 13lbs
i'm easy to work with

Didn't the VX also have 13" wheels?

Anyway, I might be interested. Got pictures yet?

Those tires do seem rather small (155-80-13? My stock size is 185-70-13). What is the load rating on the tires?

Cool wheels.

And yes Zeitgeist will make you think.

When the World Trade Center went down my Father and I both thought the buildings looked like they went down demolition style.

I had 155 85 13s on my spare set of vx wheels last year for winter tires, so I don't think that's a huge decrease in tire-size.

I'd be interested in them but for me the vx wheels do fine.

They are interesting though considering how light they are! I never realized a steel styled wheel like that would be aluminum. Good find.

Really, can you check the load rating on the tires? It should be printed pretty clearly on the sidewall.
