How rare is this?????

Brand new member here, just bought a VX in December has 92000 miles on it now? Is there a way i can check something on the car to verify the mileage? I already had to replace the master clutch cylinder and the O2 sensor..

it's hard to judge miles, you can look at the gas and brake pedals for wear, but I replaced the rubber covers on mine... almost anything that wears out can be replaced.
I've looked at a number of vx's with less then 100,000 miles, they are mildly rare and slightly more exspensive, but not unheard of.

Why does everyone seeing a used car under 100k think it's fraud? Dont worry about it. I've driven cars with 60k miles that were ready for the junkyard under the hood, outside, and in the cabin. I've also driven cars with 200+k on them that could be under 20k inside, outside, and under the hood. I've seen 20 year old regular cars with 40k on them and I've seen 1 year old regular cars with 175k on them.

I have a 1997 Ford Escort Wagon that I bought new and right now it has 22,076 miles on it. I have several other vehicles I use on a daily basis and have saved this one just for highway trips usually 500 miles or more round trip. It just may be you got someones highway car. I have a 1988 Escort that has 474,000+ miles on it and about 225,000 of them have been put on it since I bought the 1997. If I hadn't have had other vehicles to drive the 1997 would have around 300,000 on it now.

Because their are people in the car business that do this religiously. I was approached to sell my LX that I bought new in 93 to sell it without filling out the odometer statement on the title. I refused because I new his intention was to fill it fraudulently with a lower number and roll back the od. At the time the car was less then 10 yrs old and had over 150,000 on the clock and looked like and drove like new.

She didn't buy the carfax, the dealer did that she bought it from did and they only guarantee the information, they do not guarantee the condition of the vehicle. If a vehicle is damaged and repaired without insurance co notification it does not show on a carfax.
