The timer should have turned it on at around 6:00am and I left for work around 7:20am. The outside temperature was 7F (-14C) when I left and I did not really seem to see any noticeable difference. Do not know if the "extremely" cold temperature is the reason or not as I have never had a block heater. How long do you think I should turn it on before I leave in the morning? I am thinking about bumping it up to 3 hours because it is supposed to be around the same temperature tonight. Any insight from block heater users? __________________
